Hamilton's Tavern is a traditional neighborhood alehouse located in the heart of the historic South Park area of San Diego. 1521 30th Street has been licensed to serve beer and wine for over 75 years, making it the oldest beer and wine licensed location in San Diego. Formerly the beloved dive bar, Sparky's, Hamilton's opened in 2006 under new ownership and is now solely focused on offering the highest quality ales, real ales and craft beers from around the world.

Pros: A classic. Love Hamilton's. Always great beer selection, really excellent grilled sammiches, and pool/shuffleboard.
Cons: Not a whole lot else to "do" from an entertainment perspective, but with awesome beers and pub grub and a few good friends, what else do you need. It gets packed as hell sometimes, and parking is a pain sometimes as this is in South Park.
