T-Shirt Mart is an affiliate of Tee Express. The first T-Shirt Mart, located in San Diego, opened in 1994. Originally, it was simply a retail store selling shirts, socks, and other garments for near wholesale prices. Under the slogan Tee Shirts 5 for $10, the store quickly became a tourist destination for souvenir “I LOVE SAN DIEGO” tees and a place to get cheap shirts for the locals.
